Como Filtration Systems

Cooling Tower Water

Why use cooling towers?

Cooling towers are used to reduce the temperature of a liquid (water) by bringing it into contact with an air stream where a small portion of the water is evaporated, effectively cooling the majority of the water.

Plants use cooling towers when there is insufficient lake or river water available. As the cooling tower water is used, contamination will occur, causing the cooling tower’s efficiency to drop. Moreover, contamination can cause the cooling tower to fail, increasing its downtime.

Solution: COMO Filtration Systems

Particulate contamination does not mean that the cooling tower water must be disposed of and replaced. COMO Multi-Pass Filtration removes the particulate from the cooling tower water, and thus extends the life of the water.

COMO Multi-Pass Filtration removes both fine and gross contamination; furthermore, it will reduce scale buildup and impurity contamination, increasing a cooling tower’s efficiency.
